  • COURSE CONTENT

A practical one and a half hour Hatha Yoga class with the inclusion of some flows.

    TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODS

I will teach a combination of demonstration and verbal cues. I will also observe the class and might give personal adjustments if needed – hands on adjustments will only be given if the person feels comfortable with them, and will be very gentle. Each class will cover a few different poses, Sun Salutations (Surya Namaskar) will be introduced from the beginning with modifications, to build up to the full sequence.

    COURSE LEVEL/ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

The course is aimed mainly at beginners or people with little experience of yoga. However, anyone who wants to deepen their practice or refine the connection between breath and movement or just come back to the foundations is welcome

HOW PROGRESS IS CHECKED DURING COURSE

I will observe students, their needs and possible difficulties, so that we can work through them together to build a steady progress, without competition and in a welcoming environment

EXTRA STUDY OR PRACTICE REQUIRED AT HOME

Students can practice part of the sequences at home, I can provide a list of asanas that might be nice to practice in between classes, even for 10 minutes a day. It does not take much to progress, and a few minutes every day are a great way to start.

MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED TO BRING TO THE COURSE

Students will need a yoga mat, one or two foam blocks and a yoga belt. They will also need to wear comfortable clothes.

    WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

    Yoga Terms 2 & 3.
