The purpose of this qualification is to increase learner’s knowledge and awareness of children and young people’s mental health.

COURSE CONTENT

You will complete all 5 manadatory units to achieve the whole qualifaction.

COURSE AIMS/OBJECTIVES

  • Understand children and young people’s mental health in context
  • Understand factors which may affect children and young people’s mental health
  • Understand children and young people’s mental health concerns
  • Understand the impact of children and young people’s mental health concerns Knowledge
  • Understand how to support children and young people with mental health concerns

TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODS

All units will be individually internally assessed using a range of methods including assignments, work sheets, and discusssion


COURSE LEVEL/ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

No formal entry requirements although you must be over 16.


HOW PROGRESS IS CHECKED DURING COURSE

The qualification is internal and externally moderated to check quality and consistency


EXTRA STUDY OR PRACTICE REQUIRED AT HOME

Some home study may be necessary including research.

None are essential however a ring binder will be helpful to keep your work in.
