COURSE AIMS/OBJECTIVES

  • Learn to make a variety of flowers and other items suitable for decorating cakes.
  • Learn how to wire the flowers into sprays.
  • COURSE CONTENT

    – An Arum Lilly.
    – Appropriate leaves of choice.
    – Winter Jasmine.
    – A card with flowers.


    TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODS

    All projects taught will be domonstrated by the tutor. Students will then commence working independently with guidance from the tutor.


    COURSE LEVEL/ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

    All abilities.


    HOW PROGRESS IS CHECKED DURING COURSE

    Students work is monitored during the course by the tutor to ensure each element is clearly understood.


    EXTRA STUDY OR PRACTICE REQUIRED AT HOME

    Not compulsory.


    MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED TO BRING TO THE COURSE

    An equipment list will be supplied by the tutor and all other items will be advised during the course. Equipment can be purchased from the tutor at cost price plus postage & packing.

    COURSE AIMS/OBJECTIVES

  • Make a variety of Decorations suitable for making your cakes look special
  • Make Flowers and suitable greenery using Sugarpaste
  • Make models of people and animals
  • Marzipan and Ice a cake
  • Health and Safety for cake decorating
  • COURSE CONTENT

    • Make Model Animals
    • Make Carnations and Ivy on wires
    • Tape the above into a spray
    • Make a Christmas decoration
    • How to Marzipan and Ice a cake


    TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODS

    The Tutor will have available the completed projects for students to view.

    All elements of the projects will be demonstrated by the tutor first. Students will then commence working independently with guidance from the tutors.

    WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

    A “Certificate of Attendance” will be given students completing a minimum of 80% of the course
