HOW PROGRESS IS CHECKED DURING COURSE

Tutor will take photos of your knitting samples and discuss how you feel you are progressing.

EXTRA STUDY OR PRACTICE REQUIRED AT HOME

It is helpful if you practice the techniques learnt at home as knitting becomes a relaxing a therapeutic hobby once you take the time to master the basics. Also if you are working on a project you will need to do some work on it at home depending on how big a project you take on.

MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED TO BRING TO THE COURSE

    Knitting needles and yarn.

Chunky wool can be used at this stage but when working in colour it is better to use double knitting or even 4 ply. The tutor will have yarn and needles which can be bought at a small charge.

Other tools you may find useful to have are small scissors, tape measure, large sewing needle and cable needle. We can look at some of these tools in the first classes.

    WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

There will be a further improvers course following on in summer.
