COURSE CONTENT

This course is designed to be a fun and informative introduction to developing customer service skills.

COURSE AIMS/OBJECTIVES

  • Understand the benefits to the organisation of good customer service.
  • Understand the possible consequences of poor customer service.
  • Understand the value of first impressions.
  • Understand positive verbal and non-verbal interaction with customer.
  • Understand that respect for the individual is at the heart of good customer service.
  • Understand positive verbal and non-verbal interaction with customers.
  • Develop problem solving skills/time management skills.

TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODS

Tutor input; group practical work; group discussion; individual reflection.


COURSE LEVEL/ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Interest in developing customer service skills.
  • No prior experience or qualifications required, however, learners will be required to build a portfolio with written work.


HOW PROGRESS IS CHECKED DURING COURSE

  • A portfolio of evidence will be produced.
  • 85% attendance required.


EXTRA STUDY OR PRACTICE REQUIRED AT HOME

A small amount of additional work may be required between sessions.
