Local poet Rachel Shorer writes about her own life in order to understand it; to turn messy experience into something interesting, entertaining, or possibly even useful. On this one day course she’ll help you to explore your own life experiences and turn them into creative writing. In class you’ll write about your experiences and memories, read other people’s work and share what you’ve written. As a group of writers, you’ll support and encourage each other. Suitable for both beginners and experienced writers.

    COURSE LEVEL/ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

    No previous experience of creative writing is needed. You should feel comfortable reading your work aloud, and sharing your opinions in a group discussion.


    HOW PROGRESS IS CHECKED DURING COURSE

    Rachel will check in with how you’re getting on throughout the day. You’ll also share your writing and receive constructive feedback from the group on its strengths and areas for development.
