    TEACHING AND LEARNING METHODS

Having taught Dance for many years to all ages and abilities, I have very strong teaching and learning methods. I observe each student and offer alternative movements to those who are struggling or more challenging moves to those who need an extra push! I always give options and treat each student as an individual. I break down movements first and foremost before incorporating them into a pattern or movement sequence. The emphasis on my teaching is always fun, high energy with a can do attitude!

    COURSE LEVEL/ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Suitable for beginners to intermediate level.

HOW PROGRESS IS CHECKED DURING COURSE

Progress is checked through observation. I always look carefully at where the student is technically at the beginning of the course to their improvement by the end.

EXTRA STUDY OR PRACTICE REQUIRED AT HOME

The more practice which can be done at home, between classes the better! Improvement only happens with practice.

MATERIALS YOU WILL NEED TO BRING TO THE COURSE

No materials are needed for the taster session. However the student may choose to wear dance shoes e.g. jazz, Greek, ballroom anti-slip shoes. Otherwise socks may be worn.

    WHAT CAN I DO NEXT?

Having completed this course, there may be more advanced courses available or you may like to try a different style of Dance. Please always check the PACA website/prospectus for more info.
